Just Enjoy the Trash

Humor is subjective, and along with that so is entertainment. Nowadays with all the different ways for people to share content online, with extreme ease: you may grow wary of what to devote your time to. However, still, just enjoy the garbage junk food equivalent of entertainment.

To fully appreciate quality entertainment you have to take a bite of different qualities to understand what it is you are taking in. Berd is an excellent example of quality entertainment. Each tweet is deeply thought-out and every video is meaningful.

However if the only content you absorb is Berd, you become tired of the flavor and you lose context on how its quality compares to other work. To master entertainment, you must watch something bad to understand what is good.

Accepting the Coronavirus

Starting off 2020, the world was blessed with a strain of Coronavirus labeled as 2019-nCoV, which unlike the Coronavirus that we have been used to: originated from an animal. Upon the first reported cases in North America there has been mass panic and what I believe to be overreactions. Large bundles of sick masks have been bought, and if you take public transportation: you’ll likely have a hard time trying not to find someone wearing a sick-mask if you look around.

So stop being stupid.

  • Firstly, most sick masks lack the sufficient quality to prevent a user to catch the disease, making the increased usage already pointless
  • The disease has only infected a small number of people outside of China, a minute number compared to the +7 billion people on this earth
  • Only 1/5 carriers even show harmful symptoms
  • Despite the faster spread compared to SARS, the strain is also much less harmful
  • Many media sources have not been offering accurate nor detailed news on the new strain in their race to be the first to herald the “apocalypse”

In general the whole panic over the new strain of the Coronavirus is stupider than the 2016 US election. Realistically the strain is no serious concern, in reality the larger problem that may arise could be the mass hysteria that may form. With people worried over who many carry, if they might catch it, and the over dramatization of the strain by media, overreactions and fear are likely to cause more problems.

In the end, the Coronavirus is already here. So just accept it.

You either die, or you don’t.

Avoiding other people

“because that’s social interaction and i don’t support it”
~ Micheal Reeves, electrocution enthusiast

Social interaction is a flaw produced by society, and blight on humanity. According to a Polish sociologist, Piotr Sztompka, social interaction possesses a sociological hierarchy, and atop this hierarchy is physical movement.

Ever since I was born, I have had to perform this action called “physical movement”, a mandatory accessory to being alive, of which I did not voluntarily subscribe to. While the further involvement of this action to any aspect of living my life is nothing short of bane on my feeble existence. So of course I would not be a fan of social interaction of which I already find tedious. Humans are social creatures, and all human crimes are committed by humans, therefore socialization is responsible for 100% of human crimes. However, we have yet to make social interaction illegal, so to the fair species of this planet I plead to you: if you will not stop socializing for the sake of my tired soul, please do it for the sake of stopping crime.
